1.0) Grid Exploration
-Understanding what the interface works, and how it understand commands.
1.2) Exploring the scale and rotation commands in order to generate a spiral.
The idea was to create a spiral looking pattern with a truncated triangle.
-Once I built the truncated triangle (TT) with the beetle blocks. I started to scale and rotate the TT.
-the variables and numerical inputs that I chose where all multiples of 3. This may have been the reason why lines overlap.
-In the digital version you cant see this, but in the vinyl cutter pen drawing you can see the over lap of the lines as the ink of the pen reviled a thicker line.In other words because the pen had to draw many lines on the same location this created a thicker line.
-The thicker line essentially makes a continuous spiral.
-The drawing with two colour pens was intended to create an offset “3d” effect.
-The way i made it was by:
setting up the drawing in the vinyl cutter, letting it run one time
then in the computer moving the drawing slightly off its original location
changing the pen in the vinyl cutter.
and running the drawing again. (making sure that the pen is located in the same location
as the first time)
