Using one of the long exposure pictures we took, we started to read it as a section. The different light weights generated from the movement of the pendulum start to create a 3 dimensional feel to the whole drawing. Positioning it on a ground plane, adding scale, and context helps us better read the overall result.
We interpreted the rings as a series of ramps that are outdoors, while the min light source creates an enclosed space that is at the center of the overall structure.
Secondly, we created flow diagrams of occupation and circulation. The input was an architectural column grid; which means we modified the bottom tray of the machine and sent the pendulum around the field. By repelling the magnet, the movement generated can be interpreted as an circulation diagram.
