Professor Diana Gisolfi will give a speech at an international conference in Venice on Dec.2nd. The presentation attempts to visualize the lost Renaissance organ casement based on the (somewhat altered) surviving canvases that formed the shutters and measurements indicated in plans for the replacement at the time of the Eighteenth-century renovation. The international conference is a series sponsored over time by Chiese di Venezia to study the history (including art history) of Venetian churches. Her talk on December 2 is titled “L’organo rinascimentale della Chiesa di San Rocco”.
