“I think its funny how I had these visions in my head of what I thought things looked like but my memories are wrong. These memories, these sculptures are based off of reality, but they become fiction, more like a dream. The labor is important to me because it conveys a reverence or an honoring of the subject matter or the object that I’m recreating because they are symbols of things from my past experience.”
