It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the first newsletter of this academic year and take the opportunity to introduce myself as the new Chair of Fine Arts.

I am delighted to be joining such a creative group of people and I look forward to getting to know you all better in the months ahead. Although I’m new to the campus, it is immediately clear that this community possesses the talent, generosity of spirit and commitment to excellence from which truly great things will grow!

Today the semester officially begins and campus comes alive as students and faculty return. Do stop by and say hello; I also hope that you can join us at some of the exciting events we’ve put together. As you will see below we have a packed calendar of lectures, panels and exhibitions this fall, so please mark your calendars.

Here’s to a wonderful semester!
