Take Care New York 2020: Data Training

Year: 2016

In 2016 Hester Street Collaborative requested SAVI’s assistance on Take Care New York 2020, a health blueprint plan they were creating for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. SAVI designed and ran two training sessions for eight community-based organizations (CBOs) that were participating in the planning process. The goal was to teach the CBOs how to find data, how to make connections between datasets and, in some cases, map the data for the top health priority for their catchment area. SAVI also provided data leads for topics like unmet medical needs, high blood pressure, violence, smoking, obesity, high school graduation and more.
